Precautions for Using Pure Titanium Insulated Cups

I. Daily Usage Precautions

1. Avoid Holding Extreme Liquids

·Strong acids/strong alkalis: While pure titanium offers high corrosion resistance, prolonged contact with highly corrosive liquids like concentrated sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid may damage the surface oxide layer. It is recommended to hold only common beverages (water, tea, coffee, juice, etc.).

·Dry ice/liquid nitrogen: Extremely low temperatures may cause the cup body to contract and deform, potentially damaging the vacuum layer and compromising insulation performance.

·Carbonated beverages: Short-term consumption is acceptable, but prolonged storage may reduce lid sealing due to gas pressure buildup. Consume promptly and release pressure by opening the lid.

2. Temperature Control

·Avoid sudden temperature changes: Do not immediately add ice or cold water after pouring boiling water. Extreme temperature differences may cause deformation or vacuum layer failure. Preheat with lukewarm water before adding hot liquid.

·High-temperature warning: If the cup surface exceeds 80°C (176°F), direct skin contact may cause burns. Use a sleeve or wait for it to cool before handling.

3. Proper Lid Operation

·Slowly unscrew: After filling with hot beverages, internal pressure may rise. Rapidly opening the lid could cause hot liquid to splash. Before opening, gently press the vent valve (if present) or tilt the cup to slowly release pressure.

·Avoid forceful operation: Forcibly unscrewing a stuck lid may damage threads. Soak the lid in warm water to soften the seal before attempting to open.

II. Cleaning and Maintenance Guidelines

1. Gentle Cleaning Methods

·Tool Selection: Use soft cloths, sponges, or specialized cup brushes. Avoid steel wool, hard-bristle brushes, or highly corrosive cleaners (e.g., 84 Disinfectant) to prevent surface scratches or damage to the oxide coating.

·Inner Pot Cleaning: For stubborn tea or coffee stains, soak in baking soda + warm water before gently scrubbing, or use food-grade citric acid descaler.

· Lid Gasket: Regularly remove and clean to prevent mold or odors. Thoroughly air-dry before reattaching.

2. Dry Storage

·For extended periods: After cleaning, invert and air-dry to maintain interior dryness. Avoid humid environments that may corrode the oxide layer or age the seal.

·Ventilated environment: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or high temperatures (e.g., inside vehicles) to prevent discoloration or vacuum layer leaks.

3. Regular Inspection

· Seal Test: Fill with water, invert, and check for leaks. Replace parts or contact customer service if seals show signs of aging or the cup body is deformed.

·Visual Inspection: Check for dents, scratches, or peeling coatings that may affect insulation performance or appearance.

III. Special Scenario Handling

1. Outdoor Usage Precautions

·Drop Protection: When camping or hiking, place the thermos in a dedicated backpack compartment or use a protective sleeve to prevent collisions with hard objects.

·Dust and Sand Prevention: After use in dusty environments, promptly clean the rim and threaded areas to prevent sand particles from wearing down the seal structure.

·Cold Weather: During winter outdoor use, avoid prolonged contact with ice or snow to prevent material brittleness and cracking.

2. Child Safety

·Burn Prevention: Select models with heat-resistant sleeves or double-layered lids to prevent direct contact with hot surfaces.

·Supervised Use: Prevent children from treating the cup as a toy (e.g., throwing it) or inserting foreign objects, which may cause damage or safety hazards.
